I had a car lease that ended and when I returned the car they said I owed $4000 in damages for several tiny unnoticeable scratches in the paint and a couple small stains in the upholstery. I said that was rediculous and wanted to look the car over with them. They said the car had been sent off already it was too late. I told them to send me the bill and I would review my options with a lawyer. They never sent me the bill and it's been over 2 years now. Is there a statute of limitations on how long they can still come after me for this bill?
