Is anyone a law clerk? or know about the job description?

ive read online what a law clerk does, but im still a little unsure if law is what i want to major in. im a high school student deciding which colleges to apply to, and i thought it would be a good idea to figure out what i wanna do first. i took a lot of online tests to see what careers would be best for me, and a lawyer was one of them and i was really interested in that but i dont like public speaking so i decided to research law clerk...what does a law clerk do? just provide information for the lawyer to use in his or her argument? is it hard to find a job as a law clerk? is there anyway i could consult someone who is a law clerk and talk with them about their job? someone help, please. thank you
