What's the difference between a stun fun & a taser?

i believe a stun gun is less powerful than a taser, tasers are more used by police and government authority, while stun gun for bounty hunters and self-protection. stun guns require you to get to a closer distance to use on a target, while a taser fires a stunning projectile to a target, which enables police and law enforcement to take down a target on foot with more safety and less time and effort spent.
