How badly would a drug paraphernalia charge effect becoming a lawyer?

Its a class c misdemeanor in Texas it was a year ago in high school. First time offense. I want to apply in 3 years to law school then take the bar exam in texas? Any advice as to how detrimental it is at all? Big mistake. I was just wondering if anyone knows how strict the texas bar organization is and law schools in general.
