Other than taser and pepper spray which are not legal. What personal protection device is legal in canada?

I work in road construction as a flagman, and i"ve recently read about how flagmen have been assaulted by impatient angry drivers with sledge hammers baseball bats among other things. I need something legal i can use to defend myself. blaster_1966@hotmail.com
