Men and women, what do you think, is your gender superior to the opposite, why or why not?

I believe we're equals, we both can do things the other can't. Lately I've been coming across a lot of sexism, which I found irrelevant, it baffled me that we're actually fighting this fight. I want to know why this argument exists and why it even matters.
