Would like to go to university?

I'm in year 9 at the moment and would like to go to university but I ask questions like: how do I get in? Do I need to go to college first? Do I have to have education I picked in my options? What sort of courses are there? I'm completley baffled by it all. I have been told by my parents and friends what it is and such but I still really don't understand it..any suggestions to my questions? Thankyou!!
