I can not watch videos on Facebook!!!?

I have the newest version of IE. I have the newest version of Adobe. And nothing I do corrects it. I can watch videos on YouTube and everywhere else but not in Facebook. I click on a video on my page or elsewhere and either a white space opens up or if I am on the page where the video was installed a black box appears with nothing inside. Even vids linked to YT don't play. Even though I can watch vids there. I am baffled. A little help please.
